BUT FRET NOT, THERE SHALL BE ANOTHER CONTEST TO REPLACE IT! O.O
So I think I have a chronic illness that compels me to host contests... Anyway, on with the juicy details!
OBJECTIVE
After reading any, or all, of my micronovels, which include Mass Effect: Generations, the SOMR AU, and (eventually) Re: Impulse Chronicles, take a scene, chapter, or whatever and create an adaptation of it in another medium.
Don't speak as nerdy as me? Well in simpler terms, take a scene or chapter, and recreate it in something other than writing. For example, a drawing, comic, animation, voice acting snippet, or even a marble statue... don't expect me to reimburse you on the statue. As for what the writing buffs may be concerned with, as long as you don't rewrite my work entirely, it counts. If you'd like to write for your submission, you could always take one of my chapters and write it from someone else's perspective!
RULES
1) Create a journal.
2) Tag me, in the journal.
3) Provide a link to this journal in your journal.
4) Tag me, in the description(s) of your submission(s), if applicable.
5) Provide a link to this journal in the description(s) of your submission(s), if applicable.
6) Place your submission(s) (hopefully you have multiple, I like multiple things) in the journal - thumbnail or link mode preferred.
7) Optional: Below your submission in the journal, describe your reasons and thinking to your choices in your adaptation. Its advised you do this, so I can understand where you are coming from.
8) Provide a link to your journal in the comments below.
9) Deadline is May 30th, 2015 at 11:59PM EST
EXAMPLES OF MEDIUMS
Not limited to, but includes:
Drawing
Comic (Can be a strip, page, or even a whole damn thing)
Animation (Video or GIF, whatever you like)
Storyboard (Kinda like an animation-comic hybrid)
Spin-Off Fanfic (Not rewriting my work, but rather either visiting them from another perspective. For example, in the SOMR AU, we see things from Summer's perspective, but not Apricot's or Ozpin's.)
SCORING
Your submissions will be evaluated on the following:
Artistic Appeal
Straightforward, how aesthetically (to the eyes or ears for example) pleasing your submission is.
Creativity of Medium
How creative the medium used was.
Faithful Representation
How well your submission follows what was described in the text.
Use of Artistic License
A gamble, this scoring category is for how well your use of artistic license works for your submission. Not how liberal you've gotten - which could be problematic for your Faithful Representation score.
PRIZES
Don't worry, one person can only win one prize.
1st Place Overall
Animated Action Loop
- Example: Your OC fighting a bunch of identical dudes indefinitely.
- Another example: Your OC flourishing a sword indefinitely.
2nd Place Overall
Animated Dialogue Test
3rd Place Overall
Simple Animated Loop
Best in Scoring Categories
For each category, the winner receives a character portrait.

SOMR AU Resumes Next Week
Hey guys,
Sorry that there wasn't an upload last weekend, considering it's now December, and sorry that there won't be upload this weekend. I have a time sensitive piece for a Secret Santa sort of art trade thing due this Sunday and I'll be putting my energy towards that.
Hope you guys have a good one!
SOMR AU on Hiatus for November
So I've been a little busy with life and projects on the side lately. I'm sure you guys noticed that with my involuntary bi-weekly uploads with SOMR AU, which SHOULD be weekly.
To be honest with you all, uploads have been biting at my backlog's heels. So, as an effort to recentre myself and return my backlog to its former glory, I won't be uploading any new SOMR AU chapters during the month of November.
Incidentally, it happens to be National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), so it seems fitting that I spend it hammering out some more chapters for you guys.
I hope you're all cool with this and I hope you continue to be on this journey with
Mild Inconvenience
So uhh... the pen for my tablet's broken. I'm stuck in "art limbo" until the replacement comes in, so that sucks.
Apologies for the hold up on my end of the art trade to LightSilvermoon5201 (https://www.deviantart.com/lightsilvermoon5201), SteamRabbit52 (https://www.deviantart.com/steamrabbit52), and basarakami (https://www.deviantart.com/basarakami) :(
P.S. Obviously this also puts SOMR AU on hold, as I refuse to release chapters without a nice and pretty title card.
Summer Art Trades!
As some of you may be aware, I have so much pride in SOMR AU's version of Summer Rose that I pretty much love her like a father would (even to the point I would name my daughter after her).
As elaborated in Chapter 9 (I think? How embarrassing if I got it wrong), Summer's birthday is July 7th.
Similar to how I did last year (except this time with notice well in advance), I'd like to celebrate her birthday by offering art trades!
From June 30th to July 7th, simply draw SOMR AU's (that's a key requirement) Summer Rose and tag me in the description to sign up for an art trade.
All I ask is that no NSFW stuff, you are sending these pictures t
